Our signature, Mornington Peninsula Grand Cru wine tour visits the region’s great domains including the first vineyard, Elgee Park planted in 1972. The day begins with a drive to Point Leo for a seaside gourmet picnic; local cheeses, olives and sparkling wine. “Grand Cru” is a French term for the oldest and most prestigious vineyards in Burgundy and we visit the most renown producers in the region: Stonier and Elgee Park and the iconic Paringa Estate and Main Ridge Estate in Red Hill. Before setting off we enjoy a signature seaside picnic with sparkling wine before touring cellar doors. Between wineries, the afternoon provides a two-course, regionally inspired lunch served with a glass of wine at the Merricks General Wine Store. Our jouney continues, visiting Moorooduc Estate- a benchmark producer of wild yeast fermented wines. We finish the day tasting the wife of the tour operator, Geraldine McFaul’s highly-regarded Chardonnay and Pinot Noir at Rare Hare at Jackalope which overlooks a picturesque thirty-eight year-old vineyard and large lake in Balnarring North.
Tour in a luxurious Mercedes Benz, enjoy a morning feast with sparkling wine overlooking Western Port Bay, a gourmet lunch, exclusive access and special wine deals.
